Counselling
We offer free, one-to-one counselling for women and girls who live in the Bradford area. You can self-refer to our counselling service or be referred by other organisations and agencies such as your GP or support worker.
It takes a lot of courage to come for counselling and it’s not always easy to talk about your thoughts and feelings.
You don’t have to talk about anything that you are not ready to talk about. Your counsellor will not judge you or tell you what to do. She will help you to try to make sense of what has happened to you and to recognise what you need to move forward.
Counselling can help you to get to know yourself better and to value yourself more highly. It can also help you regain a sense of control over your own life.
When you contact us, we’ll invite you to have initial conversations with a counsellor - online, on the phone or in person, where we can find out more about the sort of support you need.
We run the Jyoti service providing specialist counselling to Black, Asian and Minoritised Women.
We also have an EMDR therapist.
Call our helpline on 0800 448 0710 to find out more about counselling.
